I think Jefferson would be the better choice because I like his ideas about the weak central government and a strong state government. I think the states should have more control. I also don't like the fact that Hamilton was really into big business, i think if we didnt have as much industry we wouldnt have as much polution.

If i had to choose between jefferson and hamilton i would chosse hamilton. He was very well planned and had great ideas for the future of the country. He wanted to pay back our national debt and this in the eyes of other countries would make us more trustworthy.Hamilton also wanted a strong centralized goverment other that strong state government like jefferson. With a strong central government it would bond our country as a whole while strong state government would tear us apart.

if I had to choose between Hamilton and Jefferson I would choose Hamilton. I like Hamiltons ideals much better than jeffersons. Hamilton wanted to pay back the national debts that we owed which was the right thing to try and do. By paying back our debts, it gives other countries confidence in us that if they loan us money we will be able to pay it back to them.

Do you know how hard it was to just do this during 6th on my iPod while mrs. J is talking?? I should get credit just for that!! Haha

wow i just typed this whole thing and it didn't work so here i go again...
i think Hamilton had the better ideas for our government. He put the educated in offices with him and he looked at the future and knew that there was going to have to be some changes which he made, he was a very smart man and knew what he was doing. Jefferson wanted states to have a strong government rather then the nation as a whole, with Hamilton it was the opposite he wanted a strong centralized government and the states a smaller lesser government, so even though Jefferson is that dude, Hamilton was the better one in my opinion

wheww... i almost forgot
anyways Hamilton seemed to have the better ideas for a government. He knew that mainly the educated would understand more about the government so thats who he put in there with him. He looked for those things that would help our country in the future so he was looking ahead.. a good thing. Hamilton seemed like he knew what he was doing, and Jefferson would have put anyone with that office in there with him weather they knew what they were doing or not.

My vote goes to Hamilton. He had well thought out ideas that apply to the future. Jefferson's ideas were more toward just then. Also Jefferson was pro strong state government. This is a bad idea. If states get too much power they tend to want to control everything. With a stronger national government holding power, the states are under control. On another note, Hamilton knew that the government would be better run by educated men and women. It just so happens that the educated people of that time were wealthy. He wasnt trying to strereotype anyone, thats just how it was. Jefferson would have let anyone run the government and this really would have been bad.

On this I would have to vote go with Hamilton's opinions. I think that the idea to have wealthier and highly educated people running the country is a good one because they have the time to worry about the affairs of the country where as the less wealthy have to worry about where their next paycheck is coming from and how they are going to put food on the table. It is also good to have highly educated people running our government because they have learned about what other people have done wrong in the past.

Mrs. Eakin should be proud, it's only a little bit after 9, so I'm beating the deadline pretty good. I have to start by saying that out of Jefferson and Hamilton, Stephen Colbert is the better person, no doubt. But since that answer won't get me an A, I will agree with the majority and say that Hamilton is definitely better. His views on actual equality are a great way to "raise" a country, especially a new one. In my opinion, you should keep the public stupid so they do not notice you taking advantage of them and then they revolt. Keep that last statement on the blog just in case I do rule the USA.

Jefferson's strict interpretation of the constitution is tolerable, but it has been a difficult thing. An example is when he was offered an expansion of the US and he declined, because there was no mention of doubling the country. Although the two of these men are very well qualified, Hamilton would be my vote. He was educated, he cared about the advancement of the country, he cared about the growth of the citizens, and he can take a gunshot like a man (a dead man).

Now I have to watch the part of American Idol where they show a montage of transvestites singing.

i would also have to pick hamilton. His plan for the government being run by aristocrates would truely be the best way for it to work. When people have money that allows them to spend their time expanding intellectually. Well educated people are necessary because they understand what is going on and can form their own opinions. it is these people who can come up with new ideas taht will work for the government.

okay, first: why was cuteness a major deciding factor in this? haha. they are both old and dead... but that's an interesting observation guys haha. anyway. back to the question....

Hamilton is clearly the better choice in my eyes. no doubt. no questions. Hamilton has the right idea of building a good, strong central government as a priority. With strong states but no unity, it would be crazy and the end result would be us living in the "country of New Jersey". getting the smart, educated politicians behind him was a great idea. as a semi-new country, we couldn't afford to make mistakes on much of anything because we were seen as a vulnerable inexperienced country. also, Hamilton's debt idea was brilliant. when we need allies and we owe 1 million to france, they won't cooperate very well. its much better to pay your debts off and we need to be seen as responsible and dependable. as history unfolded, a lot of ideas that Hamilton had are used today. in some ways his ideas made the future world power we are today, because we were strong on the inside first before the outside.

i know this isnt necessary but i do have reasons for not choosing Jefferson. in a lot of ways it seemed like Jefferson was like a five year old trying to play with the big boys. first off, his theory on who should run the government was clearly not thought through. THE MORE THE MERRIER
?!!!?!? do you know how dumb and devious some people are???? as said before... under Jefferson's plan we would be living in New Jersey, the country. oh and i want to know why a bank of the US would be unconstitutional. as far as his views on war goes, war is never healthy. never. Jefferson didn't seem to be level-headed enough to run this brand new government.

by the way, you guys were so entertaining. truly hilarious! great job everyone.
